Synopsis:
Rajkummar Rao stars as Jayant Arkhedkar, a Board of Director at Unicorn, a robotics company. Jayant is about to marry Nikki, the CEO’s daughter, but is also involved in an affair with Monica Machado (Huma Qureshi), who works at the same company. When Monica becomes pregnant and begins blackmailing Jayant for money, he discovers that the CEO’s son and another colleague are also involved with Monica and the three men decide to kill her. The rest of the film follows their attempts to dispose of Monica and the complications they encounter.
Positive Points:
Achint Thakkar’s retro-style music adds a unique touch to the film and the background score enhances the excitement in the second half. The screenplay in the second half is fast-paced and keeps the audience engaged until the end. The performances from the cast, particularly Rajkummar Rao, Huma Qureshi, and Radhika Apte, are strong. The inclusion of a new genre, neo-noir crime comedy thriller, is also appreciated.
