Cheppalani Undhi Movie Review Telugu Film full explained review starring Yash Puri

 Synopsis:

Chandu (Yash Puri) is a Telugu-speaking TV reporter with a sense of social responsibility. He is involved in an accident that leaves him unable to speak Telugu and only able to communicate in an unknown language. No one, including his lover Vennela (Stefy Patel), can understand him. The film follows Chandu’s efforts to overcome his language problem and the important day that he has coming up.

Positive Elements:

The director should be praised for choosing a good point to narrate in the film. Yash Puri gives a good performance and has good comedy timing, as well as strong acting and dancing skills. It is his second film in Telugu and he has shown improvement in his acting. Stefy Patel looks nice and gives a good performance. Comedians Satya and Prithvi entertain with their witty jokes throughout the film. Tanikella Bharani, Rajiv Kanakala, and other actors also give good performances in their respective roles.

Negative Elements:

The director’s aim to promote the importance of protecting one’s mother tongue is a good one, but he fails to narrate it effectively. The message gets diluted due to unnecessary lag and scenes, particularly in the second half of the film. The climax of the film is forced and could have been better written. Despite Yash Puri’s strong performance, the film is let down by poor execution.

Technical Aspects:

The story itself is fine, but the execution is not. A better screenplay could have improved the film. Many scenes could have been cut, particularly in the second half, to make the film more concise. The cinematography is neat, particularly in the pre-climax. The music is just okay and none of the songs will be remembered after the film is over.

Verdict:

Overall, Cheppalani Undhi is a mediocre film with poor execution. While Yash Puri’s performance and the comedy from Satya and Prithvi are enjoyable, the film fails to amuse audiences with a boring screenplay. The film may be worth watching for those interested in different storylines, but otherwise, there are better options available.
