Plot Summary
In DRISHYAM 2, seven years have passed since the events of the first film, and Vijay Salgaonkar (Ajay Devgn) is living in the same house in Goa with his wife Nandini (Shriya Saran) and daughter Anju (Ishita Dutta), who is still dealing with the trauma of the past. Meanwhile, Tarun Ahlawat (Akshaye Khanna) is appointed as the new IG in Goa, and he becomes determined to prove that Vijay is lying about his involvement in a crime. However, without concrete evidence, the police are unable to take action. When Tarun discovers a crucial clue, he becomes convinced that this is the chance to finally send Vijay and his family to jail.

Script Analysis
DRISHYAM 2 is a remake of the 2021 Malayalam film of the same name, and it has an incredible story by Jeethu Joseph that takes the story forward in a satisfying way. The screenplay by Aamil Keeyan Khan and Abhishek Pathak is gripping and raises tension levels considerably, but it is slow in the initial and middle parts of the film. The dialogues by Aamil Keeyan Khan are simple but effective.
Acting Performances
Ajay Devgn delivers a superb performance as Vijay Salgaonkar, and Akshaye Khanna is a great addition to the franchise, stealing scenes with his characterization and performance. Tabu is restrained and very impressive, and Shriya Saran, Ishita Dutta, and Mrunal Jadhav are dependable. Kamlesh Sawant and Siddharth Bodke also make a strong impact, and Saurabh Shukla has a strong cameo.
Negative Aspects
DRISHYAM 2 is slow in the first half, and the intermission point comes too soon, making it feel like there may not be much of substance in the second half. The film also takes a few cinematic liberties that are hard to believe. Additionally, it is very similar to the original version, which may be an issue for those who have seen it.
