 INTRODUCTION:

Blurr is a mystery thriller film about a woman investigating the death of her sister.

Gautami is a blind woman living alone in Nainital. One day, she is found hanging in her house and the police rule her death as a suicide. However, Gautami’s sister Gayatri suspects foul play and begins to investigate. She learns that Gautami had a boyfriend and discovers clues that suggest Gautami was not alone when she died. As Gayatri continues to investigate, she realizes that she is being followed and that she will soon lose her own eyesight, just like her sister.

SCRIPT ANALYSIS:

The story of Blurr has the potential to be an intriguing thriller, but the screenplay has several loose ends that dilute the impact. Some of the plot points are unconvincing and the climax is excessively violent. The dialogue is average.

ACTING PERFORMANCES:

Taapsee Pannu delivers a strong performance as both Gautami and Gayatri. Gulshan Devaiah is also good as Gayatri’s husband Neil. Sumit Nijhawan is decent as the investigating inspector Chandel. The supporting cast, including Abhilash Thapliyal, Krutika Desai Khan, and Nitya Mathur, also give noteworthy performances.
